LOOK.hac II – A Surveillance Sim That Goes Too Far cover

Quick Summary

The sequel to TawawaDelivery’s hit surveillance sim features improved 3D graphics, extensive voice acting, and a morally questionable app that lets you manipulate innocent girls’ lives. Definitely not for those with a conscience!

Story Premise

You’re back in the role of a mysterious app user who can manipulate surveillance systems to control the movements and situations of unsuspecting heroines. The sequel introduces two main targets: Jun, a strong-willed beauty with surprising resilience, and Moeru, whose punk aesthetic hides a genuinely kind heart.

The game doesn’t pretend to have noble intentions - everyone in this digital hellscape is varying degrees of awful, from the protagonist to random social media users. It’s a world where basic human decency is extinct, making the heroines’ eventual corruption feel both inevitable and tragic.

Core Gameplay

The surveillance simulation mechanics return with improvements. You’ll manipulate camera systems, timing, and environmental factors to create “situations” for the heroines. Early game focuses on resource management - earning points to unlock more control options.

New Features & Polish

The sequel adds quality-of-life improvements and more varied scenarios. Sub-heroines now get full illustrated scenes rather than voice-only content, doubling the visual content. The DLC pack is almost essential - it adds scene skipping and unlocks that transform the pacing from tedious to tolerable.

Artwork & Voice Acting

  • Significantly improved 3D models with better resolution and lighting effects
  • Impressive voice cast of 14 actresses bringing personality to every character
  • Sub-heroine illustrations add visual variety beyond the 3D scenes

Game Features

  • Multiple endings requiring 11 playthroughs for full completion (or clever save management)
  • Extensive content - 12+ sub-heroines with unique storylines and scenarios
  • Comedy elements mixed with darker themes create an unsettling but engaging tone

Recommendations

  • Fans of the original will find meaningful improvements and expanded content
  • The DLC pack dramatically improves playability - consider it essential
  • Sub-heroine scenarios are surprisingly well-written and often funnier than the main plot
